Remember:
Warning signs, pilot patrol markers, casing vents and post are used to mark
a pipeline vicinity. They are within tolerance zone of the pipeline. The
depth of the facility will vary, depending on many different factors such as
soil erosion, grading, landscaping, etc.
Tolerance Zone:
Tolerance zone is the approximate
location of underground utility facilities or CATS facilities defined as a strip
of land at least 3 feet wide, but not wider than the width of the under ground
facility plus 1-1/2 feet on either side of such facility based upon the markings
made by the owner or operator of the facility.
